Last Saturday, We have visited Thakurdhawara, Bardiya of Chisapani, Karnali. So, today my Group will tell you something about the tourism possibilities & challenges In Karnali & Bardiya.

Karnali, chisapani has become a popular tourist destination as well as a picnic spot for local people. 

 

 

Short Description of Karnali Bridge:

-it is a single-tower cable-stayed bridge.

-The second longest of its type in Nepal.

-This Bridge is made over the Karnali river, the longest river in Nepal.

-This Bridge was built with an international collaboration between USA, Japan & Nepal.

-It is being maintained by Lamki Chuha Municipality.

-It was designed by Steinman Boynton Gronquist and Birdsall.

As this river flows freely from north to south through deep gorges creating a unique geographic landscape:

 -It offers an excellent nature experience to trekkers and mountaineers.

As Karnali region is one of the remotest and most undeveloped regions of Nepal having widespread poverty, unemployment, food scarcity, insecurity, malnutrition, starvation, inequality, isolation, and underdevelopment.

 

-Seasonality Causes fluctuation in tourists and visitor numbers so it creates difficulties for local people and businesses to sustain their livelihood and business in the offseason.

-Political Instability.

Located in comparatively remote areas as compared with other provinces, the tourism experience of this province is exotic in nature and provides a rare occasion for tourists and visitors.
